Lakeview Academy is pleased to announce the launch of a Youth Sports Academy, designed to expand athletic opportunities for younger children throughout the entire community. These programs provide young athletes with a fun and engaging way to participate in team sports, promoting continuous action while teaching valuable lessons in teamwork.
Youth Cross Country
Register Now for Youth Cross Country - Fall 2026
1st - 5th grade Boys and Girls
OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY!
Lakeview is partnering with Hall County Parks and Recreation to offer a youth cross country team that competes in the North Georgia Cross Country League while focusing on the development of the whole athlete. Parents can expect a program that emphasizes effort, consistency, and personal progress, not simply celebrating podium finishes. Our goal is to instill resiliency and a growth mindset in each runner—helping them learn to push through challenges, set individual goals, and take pride in their improvement over the course of the season.
Cost: $200
The cost will cover all race registrations and uniforms.*
Uniform:
- Race Singlet (included)
- Team Pullover/Sweatshirt (included)
- *Running Shorts and Running Shoes (on your own)
Who Can Participate:
- 1st–5th-grade boys and girls
Age Groups:
- 8U – must be 6-8 on December 31, 2026; Race Distance: 2K
- 10U – must be 9-10 on December 31, 2026; Race Distance: 3K
- 12U – must be 11-12 on December 31, 2026; Race Distance: 3K
Practice Schedule:
Dates: August 4 – October 1
Days: Tuesday/Thursday
Time: 4:00 – 5:30 PM*
Location: Lakeview Academy
*Lakeview students who choose to stay in extended care will be checked out by Coach Hanse at 3:45 pm to go change.
