How We Connect

A Strong Sense of Family

The Lion Family is a school-wide initiative that connects small groups of students with their peers and a staff or faculty facilitator. Partnering with The Social Institute, middle and upper school students meet in small groups weekly for a 20-minute conversation on subjects that range from social media to coping with stress with a goal to build meaningful and supportive student/staff/peer relationships.  Lower School students engage in cross-curriculum conversations with their teachers about Lakeview’s core values – scholarship, integrity, community, respect, and compassion.
